Texas International was born out of a lifelong friendship of the Company owners, Rex Shepperd and Stephen Edwards. Their childhood friendship grew into a working relationship as oilfield hands during the oil boom of the 1970’s. Together they formed the business venture known as Texas International Oilfield Tools, LTD. In 2020, John Potts and Shawn Sharp made a transformative move by acquiring Texas International Oilfield Tools. Their acquisition marks a pivotal moment in TIOT’s history, symbolizing a renewed commitment to excellence, innovation, and strategic growth. Their vision extends beyond the oil and gas industry, aiming to diversify and expand TIOT’s impact across global markets. John Potts
John Potts brings over 19 years of invaluable expertise to the oil industry, specializing in manufacturing, testing, engineered solutions, and tubular running tools. His journey began at Trelleborg, where he spent 7 years refining his skills before joining Texas International Oilfield Tools TIOT in 2012. Over the past 12 years at TIOT, John has ascended through various roles, gaining comprehensive insights, and shaping his strategic vision for the company. His commitment to advancing technological frontiers underscores TIOT’s dedication to innovation and excellence across diverse industries.
Shawn Sharp
Shawn Sharp boasts a distinguished career spanning more than 24 years in the energy market, encompassing specialized services to the Oil and Gas industry, technological equipment advancements, manufacturing, operations, and sales. Joining TIOT in 2018, Shawn has been instrumental in expanding the company’s presence in West Texas. His leadership in overseeing critical sales initiatives and establishing the Midland/Odessa Facility underscores his strategic foresight and deep industry knowledge. Shawn’s contributions continue to drive TIOT’s growth trajectory and reinforce its reputation for delivering superior solutions globally.
